The game is Set in the new region of Solda and centers around a traveling trainer who starts their journey in Thicket Town. The player meets Here with a boy who aims to emulate his gym leader brother. The game focuses on character development and worldbuilding presenting a rich narrative interspersed with exploration and various challenges as The player strives to join The Pokemon League.

All Pokemon up to Generation 7 are included in The game, along with 35 Fakemon. The battle system was updated to include Generation 7 mechanics such as The physicalspecial split and The Fairy type of battle.
